Biography:
Ram Prasad Bismil was born on 11 June 1897 in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. From his early years, he was deeply influenced by the spirit of patriotism and the fight against British oppression. Alongside his education, he developed a talent for poetry and literature, which he used to inspire fellow Indians and spread revolutionary ideals.
He became a key member of the Hindustan Republican Association (HRA), a group committed to overthrowing British rule through revolutionary action. Bismil played a leading role in planning and executing the Kakori Train Robbery in 1925, which aimed to fund the movement. His courage, leadership, and ability to galvanize youth made him a prominent figure in India’s fight for freedom.
After being captured by the British, Ram Prasad Bismil was tried and sentenced to death. He was executed on 19 December 1927, leaving behind a legacy of bravery, sacrifice, and literary contributions. His life continues to inspire generations of Indians as a symbol of revolutionary nationalism.
