Biography:
Khudiram Bose was born in 1889 in Midnapore district, West Bengal. From an early age, he was deeply influenced by nationalist ideas and the revolutionary atmosphere prevalent in Bengal at the time. He became associated with secret revolutionary groups dedicated to ending British rule.
At just 18 years of age, Khudiram participated in the Muzaffarpur bombing attempt aimed at British official Kingsford, known for his harsh judgments against Indian nationalists. Although the target survived, Khudiram was arrested and tried by the British authorities.
Khudiram Bose was executed by hanging in 1908, becoming one of the youngest martyrs of India’s freedom struggle. His bravery, smile at the gallows, and unwavering patriotism turned him into a legend and inspired countless young Indians to join the struggle for independence.
