Biography:
Hadi Rani lived during a period of intense conflict between the Rajput kingdoms of Mewar and the expanding Mughal Empire. When her husband, Rao Ratan Singh of Salumbar, was summoned to the battlefield, she encouraged him to place duty to the kingdom above personal attachment.
According to historical tradition, Hadi Rani made the ultimate sacrifice to remove any hesitation from her husband’s mind, ensuring his complete dedication to the cause of Mewar. Inspired by her resolve, Rao Ratan Singh fought with exceptional bravery in battle.
