Biography:

Dinesh Gupta was born in 1911 in Calcutta (now Kolkata), West Bengal. From a young age, he was deeply influenced by the nationalist movement and joined revolutionary activities to fight British colonial rule. He became associated with the Bengal Volunteers, a revolutionary group committed to direct action against the British.

In 1930, along with fellow revolutionaries Bhagat Singh and Rajguru, Gupta carried out the Central Legislative Assembly bombing to protest against repressive laws, aiming to inspire public awareness and political change. Arrested after the action, he faced a trial and was sentenced to death.

Despite his young age, Dinesh Gupta’s courage and commitment made him a symbol of fearless resistance. He was executed in 1931, leaving behind a legacy of bravery, patriotism, and dedication to India’s independence struggle.
